Ok so I'm posting it on the 14th, and yes technically the photos were taken the 14th, but that's just because my camera's time is off

So another day I'm only able to take pictures late at night in the house. I decided to focus on toys tonight, since I'm still a kid at heart. In the first two shots I mixed my toys with my kids toys

Even though this takes place in a doll house, its still kind of creepy to see a group of heroes try and stop this demon in this Barbie / d&d setting

I also wanted to focus on Mater and McQueen, Gavin's favourite toys right now.

Another busy day at work, not to much time to escape and take pictures of things I really like (like being outside and away from work)

Its strange, if I stores the banana's on the microwave they ripen faster then being off the microwave. It's probably nothing though.

Today we went to my sister-in-law's birthday, which is to say we went skating.

Everyone had fun, but it seems i took a lot of pictures of my wife

Tonight's pics are just around the house, its hard to find areas you like or pictures here and there

I played around with the shutter speed and lighting in a few of the pics, but none of those turned out any good.

Lorilei loves crafts, she makes them all the time at school and at home. We have a hole wall dedicated to everything she does. Every once in a while we clean it off and start fresh

Took a picture of our bathroom window through our bathroom mirror, was a little tricky and i think i need to improve on the technique a bit more

Also played around with not using the flash, and using the houses natural light to show the colours for what they are.

I decided to return to Mohawk Chapel for today's pictures. Being there yesterday reminded me of an early date i hate with Gina when we were first going out

I like the location for a few reasons. The main one is its close to work, i can fly down there and back within 15 min.

The other reason is i like old things, something about our past and history still kicking around. Even if not everyone wants to stop and look

The downside is now I've used up this location, i can't go back for a little bit. Good thing there are some trails even closer to where i work.

Last night I started one of my other new years challenges. For me it was a book a month. I started with Neil Gaiman's Stardust (turned into a great movie by the way)

So far I'm not in too deep, but it starts off in a little town called Wall, named so because of the Wall that is nearby. The wall has a hole in it, and every 9 years or so, people are allowed to enter to a Faery Market that takes place.

I decided to base today's subject matter on this.

This small wall is located just outside of the Mohawk Church

I like the lines and breaks that make up a wall, to me this makes for a pleasing photo

The idea of peaking over a wall, or going to where your not supposed to be is a interesting idea.

Even live, be it ever so small, can latch onto a wall and grow. Even now for as cold as it is, this wall helps keep this tiny little plant alive only so the wall can be destroyed in hundreds of years by it.

Challenge Idea

Ok the following is not one of my pictures, but it is a interesting idea.

It can be done in conjunction with a standard 365 challenge. Basically pick a location and take a picture of that location from the same angle every day

Then next year you join all those images up into one blended image

Here is an example of 3888 images taken over 1 year.

It would seem to me that the best idea is to mark your tripod on the ground, and take the photo the same time every day when you will have some form of light.

So today was the first day of work again, and it was pretty busy

It was so busy that I did not have time to really focus* on the camera to much. So another day down to using the blackberry

I had started a fire in the fireplace when I got home, and had the idea of using Gavin's new fire truck, and a toy house to set up a screen. Because everything is different sizes I had to place them closer and further away.

Again I think because I am relying on a cell phone, the execution was poor.
