Egg-straordinary
So I decided to do that egg thing from a few days ago, and i had lots of fun doing it.
Not because of all the yolks but it was cool seeing the shadows move, and how the shape reacts itself to light
I also played with the settings a lot on the camera to figure out the best setting for each lighting condition.
This one was my last shot, it was just for fun. Worked out pretty good
Here you can see how bright the egg is, i like the shadow on the cusp of the egg, and reflection on the table
Here i'm facing the light, and on the left hand side its like there is a white line of light hugging the egg. You can see the shadow here helps make the picture
I like this one i think because of the accidental cool effect on the top right of the picture. I think this was because how close to the light source i was positioned.
The egg has a larger crescent; and a more pronounced shadow
As i'm packing up all my different shots, i realized the light in the other room was left on, the entire time i had two light sources and didn't even think about it.
Both images are taken from the same spot, simply different iso shutter settings.
I wanted to play around with a candle, but the candle really over takes the picture. My goal was to get the light of the candle to shine through the egg, but the candle being bigger posted a problem. Defiantly something to try next time.
And of course me playing with the shutter speed

How To Make A 5 Minutes C-Loop
Derek Cooke put together a quick little guide on hooking your camera up via the strap connection on the bottom. Looks pretty straight forward

I however would swap the clip with a climbers kit

My Weekend Project: Egg Test
So i saw this video, and i don't know if i fully understand it so, i figured what the hell.
My weekend project to be posted here, is take 5 pictures of an egg, Egg cannot move but i can change lighting.
The goal is for me to better understand lighting and the settings on my phone while doing so.
Perhaps those who follow this site would be willing to do the same and submit your own.

Website: diyphotography.net
Found a great website that has lots of camera hacks to try out
Recent one is using a coffee sleeve as a lens hood. Now i fully don't understand the need for it, but i like the idea of free things when it comes to cameras

DIY: Sliding Camera Mount
DIY: Sliding Camera Mount
unitips.ca built this sliding camera mount to add some motion to his freestyle unicycle videos. It’s extremely simple, but still pulls off a pretty nice effect.
i'm always a fan of DIY camera hacks

April 2nd
So I got to use a bit of daylight today, but did not notice the white balance on the camera so everything was way too bright. I had to edit some a bit, but I managed to find some good pics
I'm always a fan of lines and shades.
Worked on the garden on the weekend. Reset the bricks.
Self Portrait
Happy kid outside.
This is through a cinder block, I liked the effect it delivered.
Again, lines and shadows.
Not much to say here, just some knocker.
Big Wheels!
Daylight
Would love to do something like this in Brantford on a day where i had nothing to do.
Perhaps on the lookout down by the casino. Not sure if any other good lookout spots in Brantford.

March 12th
Well tired to make the best of the light again, I hate using artificial lightening, I think it shows how dull the world really is. But when you use the natural light of outside so much comes alive
I did not achieve the what i wanted for this one, i think the banana lacked details i was looking for. maybe in a day or two.
here is another one that could use some improvement and more set up, the inside of a cheese grater. shadows come out from everywhere, and without them this would be nothing more than a box
Dinner, the kids gobbled this up (so did the wife), sausage spaghetti and veggies
I like this picture, it reminds me a lot of what spring is, this is an old tangerine crate that was left out back over winter
something about this picture grabs me, i really like it
love the hat, hate the work
